How to Look After Your Contact Lenses: 60 Second Advice

To coincide with the GOC’s Love Your Lenses week, 24-30 March, Association of Optometrists have created a new 60-second patient advice video.

Tying in with the theme of the 2018 awareness week of washing and drying hands properly, the video provides a step-by-step guide for contact lens users to ensure their hands are clean.

Washing and drying your hands properly is essential to protecting your eyes when using contact lenses. Often we miss key parts of our hands such as fingertips and wrists when washing our hands. Tap water contains bacteria which can be harmful when transferred to a contact lens, so it is important to have dry hands when touching your lenses.
